Hi! Welcome to my blog about breastfeeding which is intended to educate, stimulate and encourage discussion amongst new moms, moms to be, and veteran moms. Let me tell you a bit about myself and my stance on breastfeeding.
I’m a mother of two, native of England who emigrated to the USA in 1994. I was pregnant and/or nursing for almost 8 years straight. I breastfed both my kids until they were 5 and 4 respectively and tandem nursed them for some of that time. I nursed through my second pregnancy and was able to get pregnant while I was still nursing my two year old. Hopefully that’s dispelled some myths you might have heard right there!
Shockingly though, I am not an overly green “tree hugging” type of a mom. I was as surprised as anyone that I ended up doing this. The only thing I will say is that I have a long history of not following the crowd. I do what my gut tells me and I do what feels right and good. I have never ever been one to follow the mainstream, and it has served me well, let me tell ya.
I am passionate about educating pregnant and nursing moms and trying to dispel some of the myths about breastfeeding that get put out there by people who just don’t know any better.
I hope you enjoy this blog and that you even learn something along the way!
